CBC Church Camp

Venue: Golden Sands Baptist Assembly
Duration: 4/6/2009 ~ 6/6/2009
My Thoughts: It was my first church camp since 1o years ago... (if I'm not mistaken) I wasn't planning to go there but Pastor Kenneth convinced me to go because it was a great opportunity for me to get closer to Him, as well as my church mates. All of us enjoyed the camp and did everything as a church, Cheras Baptist Church. I'm really proud to be part of it and glad to see the church is growing slowly. And of course, if it is God's willing.

Day 1: Departure and Arrival
Synopsis:
I was kinda excited but still forced myself to sleep for few hours just in case I turn into zombie in day one. It took us around one hour to reach there. Somehow I was too excited and started to sweat even though there was air-con on the bus. Once we reached there, the "MBS boys" already took the basketballs and started to shoot hoops under the hot sun. Basically in the afternoon we were being assigned to our dorms, divided into groups (proud to be IOTA ^^) and then played some outdoor activities arranged by Uncle Jacky. After that, beach time! (too bad I can't swim) However, I still enjoyed my times playing Frisbee with Pastor Daryl and Hui Yi at the beach. At night, after a nice dinner. We had the sermon session by the preecher Reverend H. Earl Bengs. His voice was loud and clear. The conclusion of the sermon..."You're Special." :)

Day 2: Complete Set of Schedule and Activities
Synopsis:
I woke up early in the morning, most of my roommates still in their own wonderland and one missing (Bryan...the hercules). I was sure I had a nice sleep. Why? Because nobody slept beside me (except Samson, only the strong one can survive...means snore as loud as me) What a nice morning to start my day! Oh ya...guess what? I was assigned to be the worship leader for the first session of sermon. I was nervous to death. You know how it feels? Just like the reality television show hosted by Donald Trump, The Apprentice. You need to come out with the thing without doing enough preparation. LOL. Anyway, God bless me. Everything ran smoothly. Another great sermon by Reverend H. Earl Bengs. Besides that, I watched another cool Christian movie, "fireproof". It was a movie about the marriage and really suitable to watch by the young adults like me. LOL. Followed by the movie, here comes the discussion and it became one of the funniest moment in my life. I joined the homegeneous group led by Uncle Tim Vaughan. Guess what? (again...) When the session started, I found that I was surrounded by all the married uncles which means I was the only one who is not yet married! Oh man... @_@ However, I enjoyed the sharing of Uncle Tim in teaching all the mens on how to treat their wives better. After the tiring "hint-hunt" game, we went to beach again! Yeah~ I was planning to do the same as yesterday. However, I was caught by the "MBS gang" led by Wei Joe, Hou Thin, Jing En, Weng Hon and Robert Chia. I was being thrown into the sea...whole wet. I didn't care so much and still enjoyed to play the "sea frisbee" with Pastor Daryl and the youths. Ho Ho Ho~ Night time, after the sermon. I had discussion with my group about the group performance tomorrow. Right after the discussion, I went for supper with the youths. It was almost 11pm and seemed like they didn't feel sleepy at all. Guess what? (again...lol) We went for night basketball!!! Yohoo~~~We were crazy~~~ XD

Day 3: Good Bye and See Ya
Synopsis:
Last day, I was the first one who woke up. Everyone still sleeping. The energetic youths planned to play basketball in the morning. However, it rained...heavily XD. I saved my smelly clothes from the rain. After I did my devotion, I had a long pray. I prayed for everything. I was really thankful for everything that God blessed me with. I went for breakfast and waited for the last sermon of the camp. Right after the sermon, all the team performed their presentations. I did my best as the bouncer of the "Ah Long" (loan shark). Team Theta won the presentations but all of us enjoyed all the process. Not long after that, we had the group photos and prepared to leave the place. Hmm...I still got flight to catch at 7pm to go back to my hometown Miri, Sarawak.

The last words: The camp is AWESOME~~~~~ ^________^
