My Sassy Girl

How much I love this movie? Really a lot a lot. Extremely a lot. Want to know why? I can't explain lo. I heard about this movie few years back (it was really famous) but I never watch it until my friend recommended to me one day. He burnt into a disc and gave me. I watched it and the feeling was like love at first sight. I fell in love with it. Since then, I will watch the movie when I'm moody or sad (most related to relationship lo). The movie can cheered me up and sometimes I able to learn something new from the movie.

Let me just explain a bit about the movie. The movie is about a guy named Gyeon-Woo who met the "sassy" girl who never being named in the movie. Gyeon-Woo is a university undergraduate who is lazy and hopeless. However, this lucky guy met a girl who changed his life forever. He met this girl in the railway station and a series of funny, crazy and unbelievable things happened along the way. The girl behaved terribly wild and violent to the guy but the guy never left her. Somehow this guy knew the sadness and sorrow within the heart of that girl. Eventually the girl being touched by him. So this is a VERY BRIEF synopsis about the movie. If you want me to write everything, it will be very long and boring because my English is not that good (you might have difficulty to understand on what I'm trying to say).

For more info and synopsis. Check it out at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Sassy_Girl

I have some short clips to share with you guys. Enjoy~ ^^

Do We Look Alike?

Hmmm....this will be another backdated post because I saved it as draft few days ago when I was shopping at Tesco. Do you guys know Cha Tae Hyeon? The korean actor who acted in "My Sassy Girl"? I bet you guys don't know him. Hmmm....I like that guy (I'm not gay XD) because he is an ordinary guy with an extraordinary talent in acting. He is not that handsome (compared to most of the korean guys) and not that tall (175cm, still taller than me though...BUT I'm younger than him 8 years! So.....?). Look at the photo at the right side. Aren't we both look really alike? I never realize my celebrity look until one of my china friends told me. Hmm...well if I shave, I might look more handsome than him. LOL. Huh...when I was researching news about him. Then only I know he already get married. His wife so pretty....envy envy = = Ok, next post I will tell you something about my favourite korean movie, My Sassy Girl.

Christmas Carol & Christmas Celebration

Before that, MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone out there!!! How to say how I feel on the past Christmas? Awesome.... (I really love this word. LOL) I think this Christmas really different from the past few years. I feel really lucky to join this church. From Christmas carol, skit (I don't even know this word) practice to Christmas celebration. Everything is new to me. Let me just share "a bit" with you guys lo, those who really want to know lo. LOL.

Christmas Carol ~ 24/12/2008
What's NEW? : I was nervous again...because pastor has selected me to be the leader. This is my first time again...= = However, God is so wonderful and powerful. HE knew my limit and assigned Joel and Timothy to help me up. They did great job by leading through the night.

What did I do?
The driver of my own car and one of the loudest singer among the group.

What's unforgettable?
Jonathan KK sweat so much. Well, actually all of us were sweating but he sweat the most. LOL. However, his house offered very nice food. I just can't stop eating. Some more we took away some snacks. His parents were so generous. LOL.

What's unbelievable?
No rain. The weather looked like going to rain in the afternoon. I think we all prepared to bring umbrella while caroling. Surprisingly, not even single drop of rain on that night.

What's so nice?
I miss my home in my hometown. I have the feeling of being at home when I visited to all the families. I was so envy when I saw a basketball court at the backyard of one of the houses (I always dream to have a basketball court in my house).

Christmas Day ~ 25/12/2008
What's NEW?
Everything. The feeling was awesome! If it snow, then it will me more wonderful.

What did I do?
Early morning, I went to church and helped to arrange the chairs and tables for the Christmas lunch later after service. Then I became the driver to pick up people. Then I sang loudly during the worship service. And another then, I did my very best in the skit presentation. Then again, I had my lunch with the churchmates. Then, I did the worship practice for this coming Sunday. The last then, I helped out in the church cleaning.

What's unforgettable?
1. Mrs Megan's daughter screaming
2. Pastor poured the water on her

What's unbelievable?
Mrs Megan's daughter said "I do" and accepted Christ as her life Saviour.

What's so nice?
Everthing were so nice. I enjoyed every moments of it.

My Doggy - Gary

I suppose to write this post earlier on Christmas eve. Now already Christmas day. Hmmm....I was on the phone with my mom yesterday afternoon. Suddenly my mom told me that my dog which has been with us for so many years (since I was in secondary school...) passed away. His name is Gary. He was a small and cute dog when we just got him from someone. His fur was white color and so soft. One sad thing about him was he has been spending most of his life in his cage. It wasn't because of we didn't want to let him out but he was a bit uncontrollable each time we let him out. Therefore we have no choice but to lock him in the cage.

Gary was a special dog. He love to eat durian. We always will give him some durian to eat when my family were eating durian. He has one incredible talent. He like to imitate the sound of the chicken crowing. I was so shocked when I discovered his "talent". Every morning and evening time, he will not forget to practice his "crowing" ability. Sometimes when I went back to my old house, I will go to his cage and rubbed his head. He really love it and enjoyed the feeling. I really can see from his face. He was my dad closest companion and my dad was quiet sad about it. I went to research a bit on the dog life.
The old rule-of-thumb that one dog year equals 7 years of a human life is not exact. The ratio is higher with youth and decreases a bit as your dog ages. Depending on the breed, a dog experiences the raging hormones of adolescence anywhere from 8 months to 2 years or more. Generally, a dog of 6 has aged about as much as a 45-year-old human. At 10, she's like a human of 65; at 12, a human of 75; and at 15, a human of 90.
I think Gary should be around 90 years old already. He was the oldest dog I reared so far. I really proud of him. I feel really sad because I can't stay with him when he was sick. I'm sure now he is somewhere on the heaven watching my family.

Gary, I miss you. Rest in peace.....

It's XMAS!!!

Hey, hey, hey~~~ Another two more days will be Christmas Day! Santa Claus is coming to town! However, what is more important is we are going to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ! Are you excited? I'm so happy because I can get another day off from work. LOL. Believe it or not? Today I just experienced the feeling of being "trapped" in the "snow". I was in my car. It was awesome! My car can't move and the whole car was covered by "snow". I know it's unbelievable but it just happened. Let me show you the photos I took when I was in the car. It was so COOL! Well, snow in Malaysia huh? I really wish to and it reminded me on my life when I was in Australia. The cold air and the "smoke" (I don't know how to call that) breathed from my mouth. The coolest thing was I can't sweat! LOL. Ok, Ok, back to reality. Where and how did I get the photos from? Hmm.....I will give you 10 seconds to guess. 10, 9, 8......times up! Let me tell you the answer. Hey don't throw anything on me okay? I was in CAR WASH SHOP.

VBS

At last, I'm going to write about the VBS (a.k.a Vacation Bible School). Sorry for keep you waiting Kai Seng. LOL. Ok, it was very funny when I first heard about this event. Just from the event name itself, actually you can roughly guess what is the event about. It is about teaching a bunch of kids about the bible knowledge. Then, they mentioned about the topic for this year which is "Outtrigger Island". My English is not that good but I can still understand what is the Island means. I was quiet shocked and spoke to myself "What? They are going to Island? FOR REAL??? Wow, it will be so cool!!!".

LUCKILY I didn't speak this out that time. If not, I bet until today they will still laugh at it. At first, I was indecisive to take any responsibility in this event because frankly speaking my bible knowledge is really limited. I afraid I can't teach anything to the kids. However, somehow my mind went haywire that time. I took the responsibilities (not one, but TWO) as the person in-charge for the registration and one of the "easiest" station which is the mission lookout. Mission lookout is showing the kids the videos and then asked them some questions. Sound simple right?

Few weeks before the VBS, the registration still went very slow. I received less than 20 registrations. I was very worried about it because the events won't be able to go on without having enough kids. Two weeks left, the registration started to come in rapidly. I felt really funny. It seems like all the adults having the same kind of bad attitude which is "always do things on last minute". The registration boosted up from 20 to 50, then exceeded 100. It ended up at 118 kids registered (6 more registrations than last year).

One day before VBS, I just started to prepare for my mission lookout. Fortunately I managed to get the help from my buddy, Wei Joe. He had a lot of experiences because he participated it when he was young and he became the helpers as well for the past VBS. However, we both have no clue at all on how to do it. All we did was PRAY. The only preparation I did was watched all the videos which I'm going to show to the kids tomorrow. At the same time, I prepared some questions to ask the kids tomorrow (I have to spend 25 minutes with them).

The day has come. Everyone started to get busy. I was really nervous and messed up with the registration section because I forgot to print out the registration list!!! The whole world (mostly the parents) is looking for me. With the help from the teachers, I managed to sort everything out. Next, I have to handle my mission outlook. First group was the mandarin speaking kids. I used my mandarin speaking ability and I managed to interact with them. Then, followed by the eldest group of kids (11-12 years old). There is something special about this group. They were more mature in thinking so it was kind of hard to interact with them by just showing the videos. For the first day, I observed each group of the kids and thinked out the best way to interact with them. The group which I love the most was the group of 5-6 years old. They were so adorable and responsive very well to each of my questions. They just can't stop calling "Teacher Robert! Teacher Robot!" LOL.

Second days, Wei Joe and me managed to come up some games and rewards. Those who able to answer my questions will receive their rewards which is candy (The kids just love it. Which kid doesn't like candy?). All the age groups responseded well to our plan and we (me and Wei Joe) enjoyed every moments together with the kids. This continued for the third days. We praised the LORD on how He guided both of us on the mission lookout. We are proud with what we have done and we also managed to keep one precious souvenir from the kids, which is the signatures of all the kids who attended my class.

Now I sticked this poster in my room. Sometimes I will stare at it and I really miss all the happy moments I spent with the kids (*sob* *sob*... tears almost come out already). They were so adorable and it was one of my most unforgettable and precious life experience. Next year, I will definitely volunteer myself as helper again. I really want to see these kids again and I feel so glad when they called me "Teacher Robert". Thank you LORD for giving me this wonderful opportunity to spend times with the kids. Before I end, I want to say thank you to all the church mates who helped me up, especially Wei Joe. Hey man, lets do it again! ^_____________^

VBS ROCKS!!!!!

A Day Without Wallet

Have you ever imagine on the day without having your wallet? I just did...yesterday. In a big city like Kuala Lumpur, I really can't think of any way to move around without my wallet. For me, it's like we need money EVERYWHERE here. However, I was lucky because I still have my monthly transport pass (for the train) with me, which means I won't have any problem travelling back to my house later. I kept on think where exactly is my wallet. Guess what...I left it in my car and my car was in a public car park...= = I was so worried that somebody will break into my car to steal my wallet. I kept on pray so that nothing will happen to my wallet (more worried on my car because it will really needs a lot of money to fix the car window). I finished my job with the client earlier and I rushed back to the car park immediately.

Thank God, nothing happen...AGAIN. God bless me.
